Arsvida Visual Identity

I wanted to give a better idea of the feel for Arsvida through my graphics and the reasonings behind the decision-making process of creating what I have now. My brand is inspired by museums on how they exhibit their artwork, through a minimalistic touch.

Colors

Primary Colors

The majority of the design is based on black and white colors. The main priority is for the photos to be the center of attention.

Secondary Colors

These colors are based on my likings and personal references to my identity. Sky Blue is my favorite color. Oasis Green represents the place I grew up in which is the Coachella Valley. Sand is also a reference to desert but also since I am Hispanic, it also has a heritage association. King David Purple is a play on two references as the color purple represents royalty and nobility while my name is from the Bible of King David. Salmon is my favorite fish to eat and cook.

Typefaces

As stated in the opening message, the brand is humanist and simple. To bring forth the humanist aspect of the brand, Artifex Hand CF was chosen as the best fit due to its serif nature but with a calligraphic and Latin-type feel.

Since the design is also minimalist, a robust humanist, sans-serif typeface will elevate the message. Helvetica Neue delivers that message as part of the typeface allowing for the brand to also feel as if one were to be at a museum.

Digital Booklet

This is a photoshoot preparation guide that clients can have to better prepare for what they would like to have captured during their photoshoot. Upon creating this, I wanted the booklet to be informative yet have the look of a photography book.

The aim is to let the photographs speak for themselves while being placed in an aesthetically pleasing way with the amount of copy that is in tandem.

Here are a couple of examples of the layout of the guide.
